Who is Behind the Curtain? Some people are under the mistaken impression that any supernatural power must be benevolent. We would not be drawn to the Occult if its evil were apparent. Or at least, very few would. On May 20, Republican Rep. Andrew Lewis learned he had tested positive for COVID 19, the disease caused by the coronavirus. Two other Republican House members who came in contact with Lewis were told to self quarantine for 14 days, but Democratic lawmakers, some of whom also had contact with Lewis or with the two other Republicans before May 20, say they first learned of the positive test result on Wednesday.
I’ve been reading The Mirror and the Light, the final installment of Hilary Mantel’s epic account of the inner life of Thomas Cromwell, Henry VIII’s most powerful minister the guy who arranged for the beheading of Anne Boleyn while listening to whatever classical music my husband puts on. The details, and decency, didn stop the president, amid the deadliest pandemic in a century and the most dire economy since the Great Depression, from tweeting: will they open a Cold Case on the Psycho Joe Scarborough matter in Florida.
